S.H.I.E.L.D. Training Program

Main Post:

So this is a little role playing idea I had, I'd love for this subreddit to develop a "Training Program For SHIELD Agents" that we all can read and train to become "agents" ourselves. I've always been fascinated with becoming a CIA/FBI/MI6/Secret Service agent. Each of these has a training program for candidates to take before becoming an agent, so why don't we create one for SHIELD?! Does anyone agree or want to contribute anything?

Top Comment:

I think it would be cool have a training program to that you could take to become an "Agent", kind of like how Marvel use to have the merry marvel marching society. I think you could use multiple things as qualifications for becoming an Agent, and ranks for agents and recruits that aren’t full agents yet. What would be really cool is if when you become an agent or rank up that rank could be added to your flair.

Things that could be used for qualifications or reasons for rank promotions

• Watching an MCU phase in its entirety

• Completing some sort of test on their knowledge of the MCU

• For posting OC or starting discussions __ times on the subreddit

Afking 143k Farming xp/h for free [Guide]

Main Post:

The main setup for afking a minimum of ~1500+ kills/h, while 1620 kills/h is very achievable. Average xp rates are in the 143k base xp/h range, and using appropriate xp buffs could take that up to the 160k xp/h range.

TL;DR Go into the Fremennik Slayer dungeon, and kill Turoths with Royal bolts, Corruption Shot ability, Ricochet ability w/Caroming 3 perk on weapon, and Brawler/Executioner/Deacon Demon familiar with Ring of Fire special attacks. Use aggression flasks, seedicide to get farming xp, bonecrusher with a prayer necklace from Daemonheim to get prayer points, and Soul Split along with Anguish or Desolation to stay alive and deal higher damage.

The Demon familiar with the Ring of Fire special attacks makes all the difference in xp/h rates, and Caroming 3 also boosts the xp rates a lot when you can damage 3 more targets every 10 seconds. All demon familiar variants - Brawler Demon, Executioner Demon and Deacon Demon - should work. Turoths have highest affinity for melee, but even the magic variant seems to hit with a 100% accuracy. However, I used to buy all of the variants so I could make more Ring of Fire scrolls when needed.

PSA: Ring of Fire special also acts as a cheaper alternative to the Aggression Sigil in some cases if you're interested in that

You can afk for as long as you don't lobby out, and as long as at least one of the timers is on (31min for familiar, 6min for aggression).

Using the spring cleaner and accounting for all costs, the expenses were ~1,115,488 gp/h while making ~1,167,301 gp/h from the sold loot, totalling 51,813 gp/h profit.

u/puretppc decided to test this out and made a guide on youtube, thought I'd give it some visibility and hope it helps you as well!

I tested the farming xp/h rates of several monsters and found out that Turoths are better xp/h than the other alternatives, and used this method to get 83-99 farming a few months ago - on top of that it only requires 74 farming to start out, and I only saw bots there training combat. When utilized correctly, this offers the best experience rates currently in game for farming. (As far as I am aware; whenever I asked people for the best farming xp/h, they only mentioned Aquanites, Vyrelords and Dark Beasts.)

Although the experience drops are somewhat irregular and the rates tend to vary a lot, they still do average out at ~143k xp/h. Using appropriate xp boosts such as the Farmer's outfit and Avatar's skilling bonus, the xp rates could be brought up to even 160k xp/h. Wise 3 perk can also be used on top of that, but the cap might be used up pretty quickly.

Even if you don't have 2500 Sliskean reputation for Caroming 3, you should still be able to get pretty good xp/h rates, but if you have the reputation or want to go for it, the perk is definitely beneficial.

The Guide

Venture into the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon - past the cockatrice and basilisk that tend to drain your stats, if you make the mistake of attacking them without a mirror shield - and to the spot where the Turoths reside.

This is where you should stand, or at least the spot which I found to be good enough for grouping the Turoths. (Also an example of what your buff bar should look like.) Take a sip of aggression flask, turn on your Soul Split and Anguish curses, make sure a demon familiar is summoned and the autofire rate is at 1 with either your Slayer Helmet or the familiar charged with Ring of Fire scrolls, and fire at those nubs.

Remember to renew the aggression potion and demon familiar when the timers run out. You can afk for as long as you don't lobby out, and to prevent lobbying you can just take another aggression potion dose (or wait first until it runs out). Even when the aggression runs out, the familiar will keep aggroing Turoths to you, but it's more effective to have aggression potion on as well. The experience flow will only stop when both timers are off.

Your action bar should look something like this, the first two should be Corruption shot and Ricochet, but the rest of the abilities could be optimized.

Inventory

Here's what you should bring. The demon pouches and aggression flasks take the most space and will let you stay for several hours at a time. Super restore flasks are for restoring summoning points to keep summoning a new familiar from time to time.

The large and small rune pouches contain air/law/fire/nature runes for telegrabbing drops and alching them. Ring of Fire scrolls to restock your Full Slayer Helmet (or the demon, if the helmet doesn't appear to work), charms as placeholders for charm drops, automatically picked up by a charming imp.

Spring cleaner will allow you to break even and not make a huge loss. I seemed to make around 50k profit per hour with the item prices back then. Accounting for all costs, the expenses were ~1,115,488 gp/h while making ~1,167,301 gp/h from the sold loot, totalling 51,813 gp/h profit. Turoths drop gems if you want to area loot them (I wouldn't), so a gem bag might work there.

The thing next to the charms is a tea flask, which can hold the contents of 6 cups of tea. It's for removing the aggression flask effect in case you want to end it early upon teleporting out. Some good alternatives for the inventory slot are a normal cup of tea, or a gem bag for area looting the gem drops if you want to put in that effort.

(Don't take a sip of the aggression flask before you're at turoths, or you'll find your stats drained by the time you get there.)

Equipment

Ava's alerter, a ranged cape, or a Max/Completionist cape with the ranged cape's perk is a good choice for retaining bolts, Royal bolts are required to kill the Turoths with your crossbow, and the Berserk blood essence's passive will boost your stats for close to ~40% of the time. Not sure if a god book would be better for the stats. The Demon Horn necklace is for gaining prayer points from the bone drops, as long as your bonecrusher is set to crush them.

Nightmare gauntlets and Pernix boots are there just for the dps. Armadyl gear is cheap to use for invention perks, Scavenging 2/3 works pretty well with the kill rates, and Biting 2/3 and Crackling 3 would be great for even more dps. I haven't compared augmented Armadyl vs. non-augmented Anima Core of Zamorak dps - non-augmented would cost less to use. If you happen to have the Farmer's outfit, however, it might be better to use that in order to get higher xp/h rates.

I used a Royal crossbow, since it's cheap and damaging Turoths requires Royal bolts with ranged (or other things for different styles, but they deal less damage). I think Ascension bows can also be used there with the Royal bolts - and then you'd get to use some dual wield abilities, too, if you want to optimize the ability bar further - but I don't think the added accuracy is beneficial at all. On the other hand, you can also disassemble the Royal crossbow each time to get the gizmos back for a new royal crossbow and also 12 Dragonfire components to try and get the Furnace 3 perk for a tool. Put a Caroming 3 perk on the bow so Ricochet will hit up to 6 at a time instead of just 3. Precise 3 Equilibrium 2 (P3E2) is a cheap and easy enough to make gizmo for the other slot if you don't have a spare P5 or P4E2.

You can try taking a leaf-bladed spear and do some thresholds every now and then if you feel like trying hard, but I never managed to get more kills/h that way compared to if I just stood still.

Luck of the Dwarves is there for the miniscule chance of getting the HSR.

Remember to set the demon's autofire rate to 1.

(Herbicide's also useful if you want to get 3k herb xp/h.)

Numbers

52k profit/h after all costs
211 Ring of Fire scrolls/h
353 Blood essence charges/h
11 bolts/h

7,62% Gold charms
21,49% Green charms
5,79% Crimson charms
1,21% Blue charms

107.9 Defence xp/kill
42.7 Constitution xp/kill
2.0 Herblore xp/kill
2.1 Summoning xp/kill
4.5 Prayer xp/kill
88.25 Farming xp/kill

All of the above are accurate estimates only.

1500 kills/h is an easily achieved minimum, but around 1620 kills/h average is also achievable - sometimes I went as high as 1650 kills/h. The corresponding farming xp/h values would be 132,375 xp/h, 142,965 xp/h and 145,613 xp/h. With the Farmer's outfit and Avatar's skilling bonus even 160k xp/h could be possible.

Minimum requirements:

55 Slayer (Turoths)
80 Ranged (Royal bolts)
92 Prayer (Soul split)
30 Dungeoneering (Necklace from Daemonheim)
74 Farming (for Seedicide to work well)
82 Summoning (Brawler/Executioner/Deacon Demon)
89 Invention (Shadow components for Caroming 3, optional)

2500 Sliskean reputation (for components, optional)
Ancient Curses
Corruption Shot
Seedicide
Bonecrusher
Twisted bird/Split dragontooth/Demon horn necklace
(Spring cleaner if you wish to break even or make profit)

"Lol there cant possibly exist a better method than what everybody already uses because then everybody would use the better method" - some noob

Here it is, enjoy
